W-2 Filers: Important Update!

Social Security’s BSO site details a new process for user registration.  You can review the full details here: https://www.ssa.gov/bso/bsowelcome.htm

Please note the following important points:

• January 31^st is the deadline for W-2 submission.
• Employers sending 250 or more W-2s MUST file electronically.
• NEW BSO users should register in December. An activation code will be sent to the employer by snail-mail.  BSO estimates this process will take 2 weeks.
• Existing BSO users can use their existing credentials.
  

To avoid last minute stress, we recommend that you take action NOW:

• New users—Register now!
• Existing users—Test your credentials and confirm you have access to the services for electronic wage reporting.
